I've been eagerly awaiting Lord of the Rings Online since I first heard that it was under development. I've been a more than a little jaded with World of Warcraft lately, pissed off at the ignorance, capriciousness and heavy-handedness of the developers and frankly tired of the pointless grinds.
So, when I was given access to the LOTRO Open Beta I jumped at the chance. So far I'm very impressed - while the game lacks some of the polish that WoW has developed over 2 1/2 years, it has a lot of potential.
